Play for Pink
SANDTON - The Netball Factory hosted a Play for Pink/Gold Netball Tournament at St Stithians College in Bryanston.
The company is a netball coaching enterprise that provides coaches to schools in Johannesburg. The tournament was aimed at raising funds for Children’s Haematology Oncology Clinics and the Cancer Association of South Africa Association.
Keneiloe Kgasi, the founder of the Netball Factory was happy with the turnout of the event and all the entities that were involved in making it a success. She said, “The Gauteng Department of Sport donated netball uniforms to the two invitational teams from Zola that took part in the tournament. The Kind David Shooting Stars’ parents also donated netball takkies to the U13 invitational Zola team. The Gauteng Sports Awards showed their support and donated cupcakes for the Kids with Cancer Foundation.”
Celebrities came out in their numbers to support the charity event. After the juniors and seniors played their matches, they were entertained by the celebrities who participated in a celebrity match. Thiwe Mbola, Tango Ncetezo, Dineo Ranaka, Nothende, Ms Cosmo, Tamerin Jardine, Roxy Burger, Sihle Maake, Kiki Marli and Pearl Thusi all gave the pupils fierce competition on the court.
