Results of the Montrose Night Challenge second edition of 2022

Montrose Primary School remains on top in netball after finishing first in the annual night challenge.

With weeks of delay from the rain, the Montrose Night Challenge finally concludes with a bang and the presence of sunshine.

Players and teachers took full advantage of the perfect weather on November 30 as they played their final games for both cricket and netball in the second edition of the night challenge 2022.

Gwen Nelson, who has been the main organiser of the event for numerous years, shared her experience of the tournament.

“The rain once again made it a difficult challenge at the end of the year. Due to the dedication and helpfulness of the staff and coaches from all the schools, we were able to play the majority of our matches and allow the players the experience we like the JB Active Montrose Night Challenge to be.

“The event culminated in a very exciting and close cricket final between Rivonia and Montrose with Rivonia narrowly taking the win. A huge thank you to all our sponsors, schools and teams for once again making the event so special. We are looking forward to another great challenge in 2023.”
