Basketball league tournament played at Mount Waldorf School
Local basketball players enjoyed a full day of improving their shooting, passing, rebounding, footwork, and court position in different tournaments.
B-Ball Academy hosted a basketball league tournament on May 7 at the Mount Waldorf School in Bryanston.
The day saw nine different basketball teams of various age groups participating.

Gervais Monjengue, who runs the academy, said they had been looking forward to this day and having other basketball academies present showed how far they had come.
“The B-Ball Academy was established in 2005 with the aim of not only introducing the fast-growing sport to Sandton youth but also helping improve basketball skill levels in schools.”

He added they were based at Crawford International College in Sandton and they have 65 players.
“Youth can join by getting in touch with me and the only requirement is being aged between eight and 18 years old. All our teams play in the ABC League apart from our U14 boys and girls who compete in the prestigious Junior NBA league.
