A local rapper from Khutsong released the musical video of his song entitled ‘Amafongkong’ on his birthday on 4 May.
The artist, who calls himself Excellent, was looking for something simple with a township flavour and the one-day shoot was filmed on 22 March. Working with the best production teams from Carletonville such as Societe, Damian Morales, Dizitography and Phaswana Production, Excellent describes it as a quality video, “the coolest ever to come out of the Merafong area”.
Excellent aspires to become part of the South African music industry. His song is a single from his second project which is still to be released. Another single which Excellent’s fans can expect is a song entitled, “Qabalazile”, which will hit the shelves in June. His product is produced by Hillz, a local producer from Khutsong and features some local artists as well as Ginger Bread Man, a famous hip-hop artist from Potchefstroom.
