Police found three balaclavas as well.
The vehicle was reported hijacked earlier in Alberton.
“The police operation was done near Eyethu Mall.
The three suspects were found in possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of three unlicensed firearms and ammunition,” explains police spokesperson Captain Johannes Motsiri.
Motsiri says the suspects will soon appear in the Vereeniging Magistrates Court on three different charges – possession of a stolen or hijacked vehicle, and three unlicensed firearms with ammunition.
