Western Cape: On 2016-06-25 members attached to Cape Town Sea Border Patrol Unit received information about a truck destined for Cape Town, transporting counterfeit goods.

Western Cape: On 2016-06-25 members attached to Cape Town Sea Border Patrol Unit received information about a truck destined for Cape Town, transporting counterfeit goods.

Following a search of the vicinity, the truck with a refrigerated trailer was spotted on the N1, direction Cape Town and pulled over.  The search of the vehicle led to the discovery of counterfeit goods comprising various brands with an estimated value of R250 000. The driver, a 42-year-old Somalian male was arrested and made a court appearance this morning.

The truck and trailer were also confiscated.
