Three critical after Meyerton collision

"ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the light motor vehicle lying in the roadside ditch. A man and woman were found lying inside the vehicle while another man was found lying outside the vehicle."

MEYERTON. – ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring reports that two men and a woman were critically injured yesterday after their vehicle rolled on the R59 northbound in Meyerton.

“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the light motor vehicle lying in the roadside ditch. A man and woman were found lying inside the vehicle while another man was found lying outside the vehicle.

“Once the two patients inside the vehicle were extricated, paramedics assessed the patients, finding all three in a critical condition. ER24 paramedics treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions.” Meiring adds.

One of the patients was later airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a nearby hospital. The remaining two patients were transported by ambulance to a hospital for urgent treatment.

“The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.” Meiring concludes.
