Eight injured after roof collapses

Upon closer inspection, paramedics discovered seven women and one man lying near the structure.

MEYERTON. – ER24 reports that eight people were left injured recently after a sheet metal roof collapsed at a company on Ribbok Road in Meyerton.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and and were lead to a large container-like building.

Upon closer inspection, paramedics discovered seven women and one man lying near the structure.
It is understood that the sheet metal roof had collapsed while the man and women had been inside.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that all eight had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for urgent treatment.
It is understood that the patients were pulled from beneath the sheet metal by colleagues and fire services, who were first on scene.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
