VEREENIGING. – Police Spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda reports that a house robbery case is being investigated after an 83-year-old man, his wife and their gardener were attacked at their home in Three Rivers on Monday morning.
Funda says, “Two African males who had firearms took the victims to different bedrooms and fastened them with cable ties. The two culprits managed to seize a white Toyota corolla with registration number XHR 894 GP, five cell phones, four fire arms, the man’s wallet containing R800 and different cards.
“The victims later managed to untie themselves. The man’s wife suffered injuries after she was assaulted with the butt of a firearm.” Police are investigating a case of house robbery.
