It is alleged that a man was busy fetching water from his outside tap in the early hours of the morning on Thursday when an armed man entered his home, followed by his two accomplices. the culprits then tied the man before going to the bedrooms where his wife and kids were sleeping. they seized four cellphones the TV and the kettle. The culprits then left, locked the kitchen door and threw the keys in the next door yard.

Community members also allege that this was not the first robbery to happen in this area this festive season where a flat screen TV had been seized. Speaking to this newspaper, concerned residents said that it was better to alert people of the dangers of fetching water outside at night or early in the morning. “We would like to urge members of the community to refrain from fetching water at night as this poses a danger to them and the families.

Sebokeng police are investigating the matter.
