Young mother commits suicide

Rantalane-Majola is said to have died on her way to Naledi-Nkanyezi Hospital in Sebokeng after her husband found her, this is after she had apparently shot herself.

SEBOKENG. – A mother,wife, daugther and sister Ntsoaki Princess Rantalane-Majola is no more.
Rantalane-Majola apparently committed suicide last Saturday at her home in Zone 10 Extension 3, Sebokeng. She is alleged to have shot herself and left nothing to indicate what might have bothered her.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, a family member who asked to remain anonymous said that they can not believe that Rantalane-Majola committed suicide. “How do you commit suicide when you are happy about the future and when you have all your life ahead of you. This is a person that was full of life and the news of her suicide is really confusing.”
Rantalane-Majola is said to have died on her way to Naledi-Nkanyezi Hospital in Sebokeng after her husband found her, this is after she had apparently shot herself. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, one of her friends, who also wants to remain anonymous, said that she last spoke to Rantalane-Majola on Thursday about a farewell party at work.
Rantalane-Majola is believed to have recently resigned from her work and was venturing into business. She had told the friend that she was excited about the future. Alpheus Rantalane, the deceased’s father said that her daughter should have said what was bothering her before she took her own life.
“She should have at least left a note stating why she wanted to kill herself. This is so bad for the family.” Sebokeng Police spokesperson, Captain Teboho Lephoto said that an inquest docket has been opened.
Rantalane-Majola’s memorial service will be held today (Thursday, June 7) at the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Centre in Sebokeng at 14:00.
