Balakazi scores first international goal for Amajimbos

SEDIBENG. – Young Sedibeng soccer star Mthokozisi “Keita” Balakazi is making a name for himself at the COSAFA U/17 Cup which is under way in Mauritius.This Bophelong born youngster scored his first international goal when SA U/17 National Team (Amajimbos) beat Mozambique 4-1 in the COSAFA Cup match over the weekend.
Balakazi has been part of the Amajimbos team’s camp since last year when they started preparing for this tournament. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, over the weekend, Balakazi said it was such a great feeling to score his first international goal for Amajimbos.
He said he was happy with his performance after SA U/17 National team played to a goaless draw against Lesotho in the opening game last Friday. Balakazi said the win against Mozambiques was very important taking into consideration that they want to qualify for the 2019 U/17 AFCON scheduled to take place in Tanzania.
