VEREENIGING. – Police Spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda warns motorists about the high theft of motor vehicles in Three Rivers, with the targeted make being the VW Polo.

Funda further warns the community regarding the theft of gate motor, urging them to paint the motor using bright colours.

“Police were able to arrest a total of 21 people over the weekend. Among the crimes they were arrested for was possession of drugs, driving under the influence, dealing in drugs, business breaking  and shoplifting, possession of suspected stolen property, possession of stolen motor vehicle, common assault, and reckless driving.”

Funda concludes, adding that that all the arrested suspects will  appear in Vereeniging magistrate court.
