Sedibeng K9 unit arrests suspects with stolen motor vehicle

VANDERBIJLPARK. – On Sunday 18 August at 13:30 members of Sedibeng K9 Unit Warrant Officer Rost and Sargent Grilo were on duty when they responded to a complaint where members of VRU needed assistance on the R57 in Vanderbijlpark regarding a suspicious vehicle with 5 African males inside.

At Vaal Mall Vandebijlpark robots the vehicle a Toyota NOAH with Mozambique registration was blocked off by Warrant Officer Rost and Sargent Grilo with VRU members.

The vehicle and occupants were searched and it was then found that the vehicle was positively stolen in Komatiepoort. The driver and 4 passengers were arrested for Possession of a stolen motor vehicle and detained at Vanderbijlpark Police Station. All suspects are from Mozambique and appeared in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrates court on charges relating to possession of stolen motor vehicle.
