Get Jazzy at Emerald on Spring Day

SEDIBENG.- It is that time of the year again when many will gather for a picnic with baskets, camp chairs, cooler boxes, umbrellas and braai stands by the beautiful Vaal River banks.
This year, the fifth instalment of the River  Jazz Festival once again takes place at Emerald Resort and Casino in Vanderbijlpark on Sunday, September 1.
Gates will open at 11:00 and the show kicks off at 12:00. Legendary groups such as Mafikizolo and Malaika are amongst the headliners for this year’s festival’s line up.
Legendary artists such as Thandwisa Mazwai aka “KingTha”, Bhudaza, Amanda Black will also headline the Festival. KingTha is one of the most influential musicians on the South African music scene today. What a proper way to celebrate Heritage Month. The line-up also features a number of artists such as ‘Mthande’ hit singer Musa Sukwene , Multi award winner Mlindo the Vocalist and not forgetting soul king, Pressss. Dudu Makhoba and Tokollo Jazz Band will add local flavour to the event. What would be a soulful Sunday without Thabo ‘Tbose’ Mokwele from Kaya FM? DJ Pulz, Classic Tank and Abiter the DJ will surely give festival goers a night to remember. Lefa Pheto from Lesedi Fm, Royal Stara and Ordridge Dingalo from Thetha FM will drive the show till 02:00 in the morning. Tickets are available at R280 for general access at Computicket, Shoprite, Checkers, Checkers Hyper, House and Home, President Hyper, at selected OK Furniture and Usave. General access tickets will set you back R300 at the gate.
Cooler boxes are allowed at R50, dumpies are not allowed.
