SEBOKENG.- The Evaton Police are asking for the community’s help in locating a suspect after a 34-year-old woman was raped in Zone 3, Sebokeng recently.
It is said that the woman was from a family gathering in Evaton West where she had left her husband to go to sleep at their home in Zone 3 and that upon parking her car in the garage everything was in order.
She then unlocked her house and went straight to the toilet, without locking the door.
After relieving herself she noticed a man standing outside, she went to the door trying to lock it but before she could do so the armed man instructed her not to make noise and hit her with the butt of the firearm on the face.
Police spokesperson Captain Aubery Moopeloa said that the woman was then pushed to the main bedroom where the suspect demanded money, the victim told the suspect that she did not have any.
With blood oozing from her face, the suspect then raped her.
After raping her the suspect searched the house and 12 tablets phones, 8 diamond watches, 6 boxes of perfume and cash to the amount of R 350 was stolen by the suspect.
“The suspect also went to the garage and searched the victim’s car before he took off.”
Moopeloa said that one tablet phone is valued R 1 800, one watch at R 4 500 and one set of perfume at R 2 500.
