VEREENIGING. – Oscar Masinga (40), a Three Rivers resident originally from Limpopo, says fine arts is something that runs in the family.
On a normal day, you will find him at the Riversquare Shopping Mall, drawing away and bringing pictures to life. This is not only his hustle but it is something that fulfills him.
Masinga, who is a self-taught fine artist, is able to capture beautiful moments, emotions and tell stories through his art.
“My passion for art started when I was very young, my uncle and my grandfather also used to draw like me, but I took it further and eventually became better than them. Masinga says that what he loves most about his job is that he is not only focused on one thing. “I am very versatile. I can draw landscapes, animals and portraits. All of this is self-taught.”
Masinga believes that everyone must at least have one of his drawings as it is something special that they can hang on their walls at home.
“I want to see myself grow from this and reach a greater level of success with my art. For now, I am available to capture the beauty of the people in the Vaal through my drawings. I am even willing to do house calls.” To get hold of Masinga, you can call 072 873 2778 or find him at Riversquare Shopping Mall in Three Rivers.
