Biker critically injured in vehicle collision

SASOLBURG.-A biker in his late 20s was critically injured in a collision with a light motor vehicle at the intersection of the R59 and R57 in Sasolburg yesterday afternoon.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 13:25 along with Sasolburg Fire Department, Free State Provincial EMS and another private service. The man was found lying on the tarmac, having suffered multiple critical injuries. He was treated using Advanced Life Support interventions before being flown by private medical helicopter to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital for further care. The driver of the Audi was in shock but otherwise uninjured.

The South African Police Services (SAPS) were also on scene for further investigations.
