ORANGE – FARMS. – The Gruesome killing of Jabulile Secondary School Principal Emmanuel Tshivase has sent shock waves through the Education fraternity.
Tshivase was shot and killed on Thursday afternoon just a few kilometers away from his school. It is alleged that he was confronted by an unknown man who shot him dead while he was in his vehicle on the Golden Highway.
It is said that Tshivase had stopped on the side of the road and was speaking on his cellphone before the incident occurred.
Gauteng Education MEC, Mr Panyaza Lesufi, is disturbed by the incident especially in the midst of preparations that are underway for school re-opening next week Wednesday.
“Mr Tshivhase is one of our renowned principals who led Jabulile Secondary School with greatness. His hard work propelled an 80% pass rate for the 2019 matric results of his school.
We condemn such criminal acts and extend our sincerest condolences to the family of Mr Tshivhase and the entire school community,” Lesufi concludes.
