Suspect arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition

EVATON.- The members of Evaton SAPS’ Hi-density Unit recently arrested a suspicious 34-year old man along the main road of Zone 6 Extension 5 while on patrol and charged him with possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
Police spokesperson Captain Aubrey Moopeloa said that the officers searched the suspicious man and discovered the unlicensed firearm a, 9mm Norinco and seven bullets. Meanwhile in another incident a 40-year-old father from Zone 3 in Sebokeng was arrested and charged with rape after he allegedly forced himself on his child’s friend who was visiting.
The suspects have since appeared in the Sebokeng magistrates court .
