RUST-TER-VAAL. – Police spokesperson Captain Teboho Lephoto confirms a shooting incident where a woman in her thirties lost her life in Rust-ter-Vaal last night.

“The incident happened at a meeting in the area. According to information, the lights went off in the venue and when people started to exit the venue, gun shots were heard and the woman was fatally wounded.”

Lephoto could not  confirm the number of times the woman had been shot. The woman was declared dead on the scene and an investigation into her murder is ongoing.

Lephoto said that he was confident that police would soon make an arrest.
