Axe haunts FC RESA

SEDIBENG. – As things stand Remember Elite Sports Academy (FC RESA) seems to be fighting a losing battle to save their ABC Motsepe League status.

FC RESA, formerly Vaal Professionals is stuck at the bottom of the log with 11 points from 21 games but there is no hope that the latter will survive the relegation axe at the end of the season.

The club bought Vaal Professional status at the beginning of the season with the hope of keeping the ABC Motsepe League status but it never rains but pours for them.  Since the beginning of the season the club has only registered two wins, played five draws and lost 14 games. With these statistics, indications are that the club will campaign in the SAB League come next season. To make it worse, even their SAB League (feeder) team finds themselves second from the bottom of the Safa Sedibeng SAB League. If the ABC Motsepe League get relegated and the SAB League team survives the relegation axe then they must get rid of one status because according to the Safa constitution no team is allowed to have dual membership in the same league.

FC RESA welcome Alexandra Black Aces FC at President Park In Vereeniging on Saturday at 13:00 while Orange Vaal Professional FC will be home against log leaders Baberwa FC at Qedilizwe ground in Evaton. Kick off is at 15:00.
