The Gauteng Department of Health has said that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Gauteng as at 21 April 2020 sits at 1199.

SEDIBENG .- The Gauteng Department of Health has said that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Gauteng as at 21 April 2020 sits at 1199, with 781 recoveries and 7 deaths.

This means that the total number of active cases in the province sits at 411 (recoveries refer to people who previously tested positive for COVID-19 and are now negative). Out of a total of 7103 contacts traced (these are individuals who were in contact with people who tested positive for COVID-19); 2973 people have completed the 14 days monitoring period with no symptoms reported and therefore they are de-isolated.
