PSL teams to be quarantined

JOHANNESBURG.- The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has put a plan in place on how it is going to deal with COVID-19.

This plan was outlined by the Dr Mahlane Phalane, who is a Sports Physician and Health Consultant. Speaking to eNCA Sport, Phalane said each team will be quarantined for two weeks when prepare for resume PSL.

He said one of the strategic plans is to move all PSL teams to Gauteng which has world class sports facilities. “All role players will be tested for COVID-19 this includes footballers, club officials, technical teams, media and stadium staff,” he told eNCA Sport.

However, what is still not clear is when the PSL resume. Some of the teams are gradually throwing in the towel. Meanwhile, SAFA has since indicated to resume with football activities in Level 1 of COVID-19.This means all SAFA regions will have to wait longer especially regional leagues such as SAB League and ABC Motsepe League and local football association  activities.
