Liquor traffickers run away

Police confiscated the liquor and handed it in at the Evaton Police Station.

EVATON.- People just cannot listen and obey the Covid-19 laws.

This was proved when the South African Police Services (SAPS) Sedibeng Crime Intelligence and the West Rand Tracing Units confiscated liquor that was about to be smuggled around Evaton during the night  this week. Police said that the suspected liquor smugglers abandoned the liquor after a long chase with the police in Chamberlain Road, next to the old BP garage, on the Golden Highway.

Police confiscated the liquor and handed it in at the Evaton Police Station.

Police Spokesperson, Captain Aubrey Moopeloa, said that police will be continuing to monitor the smuggling of liquor in and around Evaton and that more night operations will be launched.
