Burnt car at Vaal Mall – This is what happened

VANDERBIJLPARK. – People visiting the Vaal Mall on Tuesday, 26 May were met by a burnt-out vehicle in the parking lot.

It seems like Ryan Coetzee, his wife Louise and their young daughter were travelling towards Vanderbijlpark on Monday when they experienced vehicle trouble at the big crossing before you reach the Mall.

Fortunately he got the vehicle to start again. He decided to turn into the Mall’s parking area because he thought it would be a safer place to stop and to work on the car. They barely managed to get inside the parking area when the car burst into flames. The doors wouldn’t open. Ryan managed to kick one of the doors open. He first threw his young daughter and then his wife out of the car before het jumped out too!

It is said that three explosions could be heard while the vehicle was burning. Nobody was seriously injured, but the family were still in shock today. In a post on Facebook, Ryan thanked the three officers from the Vaal Mall’s control room for going out of their way in helping him and his family.
