Vaal River Marathon not likely to take place

The event is well known for having attracted a large number of participants from across the borders

VANDERBIJLPARK.- This year’s annual Vaal River Marathon is not likely to take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Vaal River Marathon which is held locally is organised by the Molefi Oliphant Institution of Leadership, headed by Dr Molefi Oliphant in conjunction with Athletics Vaal Triangle every year in September.
The event is well known for having attracted a large number of participants from across the borders of Africa for the past three years. To date, all the sporting activities have been suspended due to COVID-19 pandemic until further notice.
