Employee tests positive – Sasolburg Licensing Office closes

The DPRT recommends that customers in the meantime use nearby licensing and testing facilities in their region.

The Department of Police, Roads and Transport informed the media that the Sasolburg Vehicle Licensing Office has been closed after a female employee tested positive for Covid-19. The official went for testing after presenting with flu-like symptoms on Monday 8 June and the test was confirmed as positive on Wednesday 10 June 2020.

The Department says it regrets any disruptions of services and inconveniences subsequent to the closure.

The office reopened on Monday 1 June 2020 after the lockdown alert levels 5 and 4, but will now stay closed until further notice to allow health workers to conduct assessments at the premises and do screening of all staff members working in that office and to implement all regulatory sanitising protocols.

The DPRT recommends that customers in the meantime use nearby licensing and testing facilities in their region.
