Paramedics robbed as EMS crew respond to emergency in Sebokeng

The Gauteng emergency medical services have set restrictions to the Sebokeng small farms area.

According to the Gauteng Health Department on Saturday night, 11 July at around 23h00 a call was logged for an emergency in the Sebokeng small farms area, upon arrival the crew and the ambulance were robbed.

The EMS crew were robbed of their personal belongings, medical equipment like oxygen equipment, masks, blood glucose monitor and even the ambulance keys.

“The crew were unharmed and are safe.”

The area will now be declared unsafe and not serviced without SAPS escorts, this will however cause delay with response in the area.
