SEBOKENG.- The Sebei Motsoeneng ANC Branch, Vereeniging Zone, is mourning the death of its member and Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Councillor, Ananias Motsei (61).
Motsei, who was a Ward 21 Councillor, passed on at a Medi-Clinic Hospital in Vereeniging on Monday.
This was after he succumbed to Asthma, according to the ANC Vereeniging Zonal Office Secretary, Tlhoriso Mofokeng.
Sedibeng Ster recently interviewed Motsei in Tshepong, Sebokeng, when the residents experienced sewerage spillages in the area.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Sebei Motsoeneng ANC Branch Chairperson, Windsor Lesalaisa, said this is a great loss, not only to the organization but to the community of Sedibeng.
He described Motsei as a selfless individual who was committed to serving the organization and the community at large.
“We have lost someone who put the interest of the people first. He will be sorely missed for his loyalty to this organization.As Sebei Motsoeneng ANC branch, we wish to send our condolences to the Motsei family, relatives, friends and colleagues,” said Lesalaisa.
At the time of going to print, Motsei’s funeral arrangements were not yet made.
