This is after two Covid-19 cases were reported in the Waste Department at both the  the Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark Depots.

In a statement, ELM reported that one of the employees had sadly succumbed to Covid-19 complications and was laid to rest over the weekend.

“As a precautionary measure, the two depots have been closed for decontamination, tracing and testing of employees who were in contact with the affected employees.”
