Electricity protests continue for Boipatong residents

BOIPATONG. – Once again the Boipatong community took their frustrations to the street when they blocked all the entrances to The Boipatong and nearby Vanderbijlpark area recently.
This was in protest of the ongoing electricity cut-offs in the area in particularly for the community of France and Zone 4.
It was chaos with traffic jammed in the main road, Frikkie Meyer Boulevard as it took hours for police officers to convince the angry crowd to disperse.
This happens within a space of two weeks after the same community, closed the same entrances, over the same issue, electricity.

The crowd later dispersed leaving the road full of stones and debris.
