BOIPATONG.- It was a job well done following a coordinated effort between the France Section community members and the Boipatong Police which led to an arrest of a 38-year-old suspect last week.
The arrest followed after the community spotted the man breaking into a house in the area. The angry community marched to his house and detained the suspect until police arrived. Police were called to the scene and at their arrival found the man in possession of the suspected goods. Police found the stolen goods which included two speakers, one black stand holder and a Telefunken mix.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Boipatong SAPS Communication, and Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela said that the Boipatong Police, under the leadership of Station Commander Lieutenant Jeminah Khasuli, urges the community to stop buying stolen goods.
“The Station Commander, Lieutenant Jeminah Khasuli, appeals to the community to work together with police to stop crime in the Boipatong area.”
Meanwhile, Khasuli also appeals to community members to come forward regarding a “mob justice” case which resulted in the double murder of Luvuyo Buda and Solly Molebatsi that took place in Winnie’s Park.
This was reported by Sedibeng Ster on numerous occasions, and police claimed that this was a case of mob justice.
