Search for stolen horse

DRUMBLADE. – The owner of a horse that was stolen from a smallholding on Wednesday says she is devastated, not knowing whether her horse is dead or alive.

Jenny Self (60) is looking for her her black mare, Forte, who was stolen from a smallholding in the vicinity of Drumblade on Wednesday 21 October. It is alleged that the suspects gained access to the premises by cutting the fence. “The dog tracking unit noted that the horse was ridden away by one or possibly two people in the direction of Walkerville,” says Jenny. The horse is black with a few white flecks and branded with the Boerperd “B” brand on her hind quarters.

The branding is difficult to spot if you don’t know what you are looking for. Members of the public with information that could lead to finding the horse is urged to contact the Klipriver Police on (011) 903 8205 or Jenny on 074 143 2685.
