Man arrested for possession of drugs worth R1 million in Vereeniging

The suspect was locked up and detained at the Vereeniging police holding cells.

VEREENIGING. – An operation dubbed ‘Safer Festive Season’ yielded success after a young male suspect was arrested for possession of drugs at a flat in Vereeniging.

The drugs are said to be worth a street value of R1 million. The operation was carried out by police together with the Organised Crime Unit.

Sedibeng District Cluster Commander Major General Zodwa Molefe applauded the police for their diligent work and excellent execution.

“It is clear that there is no time for lawlessness, those found on the wrong side of the law will be locked up.”

The suspect was locked up and detained at the Vereeniging police holding cells.
