More trucks set on fire on the R59

RANDVAAL. – Another truck was set on fire on the R59 highway between Vereeniging and Alberton in the early hours of Friday morning.

The incident apparently took place between the Randvaal and Klip River exits.

Another truck burns on the R59.

It is alleged that five armed men forced the driver to stop near an exit. The driver was apparently able to see lights in the distance and initially thought it was an accident scene.

The driver and his assistant ran away from the suspects and hid in the bushes. The truck was then set on fire.

Apparently four more trucks were set on fire at this location. The Alberton Fire Department helped put out the blaze and clear up the scene.
