Golden Bees Netball is tops

The majority of the club’s players were selected to represent Fezile Dabi at a tournament held in Limpopo last year December

SEBOKENG.- The Golden Bees Netball Club from Lakeside in Sebokeng is on a mission to make a name for themselves in the South African Netball circles.
The majority of the club’s players were selected to represent Fezile Dabi at a tournament held in Limpopo last year December. The club is affiliated under the Fezile Dabi Netball Association.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, the club Goal Attacker, Lerato Mofokeng said playing in the Fezile Dabi Association means creating opportunities for the players.

“We enjoy each and every moment playing that side and there are a lot of opportunities for us especially with regards to sponsorships. We want to see ourselves playing for SA Netball national team, especially some of us whose age is still on their side,” she told Sedibeng Ster Sport.
With netball still yet to be given a greenlight to resume following COVID-19 restrictions, the Golden Bees Netball Club is involved in a series of friendly matches and tournaments to keep themselves fit.
Mofokeng who has been representing Sedibeng Netball Federation at Provincial Netball Championships said the games they play every weekend help them in terms of fitness and conditioning.
Golden Bees Netball Club was part of the clubs that participated in the friendly matches at Evaton Multipurpose Centre over the weekend.
