HEIDELBERG.- Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana midfielder, Lebohang Maboe, was on the stand to watch a-minute-thriller SAFA Sedibeng SAB League fixture between Real Hearts FC and VUT FC at Rathanda Stadium in Heidelberg over the weekend.
Local soccer fans packed the venue to witness this mother of all battles with the home side beating VUT FC 3-1. It was a top of the table clash with the two teams first and second placed in the Stream B log standing.

Despite the defeat, VUT FC is still at the top of the log with two games to go before the end of the season. The game went to half time with the home team leading 2-0. VUT FC came like house on fire in the second half and their hard work was rewarded when they pulled one back, 2-1. However, sensing the danger Real Hearts FC made some changes and they extended their lead 3-1. Maboe said he was impressed with both teams’ performances.
To make it interesting, Maboe started his football career playing at the same venue.
