Mthethwa wishes Kaizer Chiefs Good Luck ahead of their CAF final
"For the club to conquer the continent in a such a dramatical way, so early in their participation at this level makes everyone to be proud being South Africans."
SEDIBENG.- Minister Of Sports Nathi Mthethwa has wished Kaizer Chiefs all the best of luck ahead of their CAF Champions League final against Al Ahly in Casablanca on 17 July. Mthethwa also congratulated ‘Amakhosi’for reaching the final of this continental tournament for the first time in the history of the club. Not many expected the club to go all the way to the final after their poor performance in the DStv Premiership League. At one stage the club looked like they would finish out of the top eight brackets until their last game of the season when they surprised many to finish number eight in the league. Mthethwa said it is a major feat for any club to be the best in the continental. “For the club to conquer the continental in a such a dramatical way, so early in their participation at this level makes everyone to be proud being South Africans. We really offer our good wishes for the club to perform at its best at the Champions League final and as a country will rally behind them in support at the final. Whatever the outcome, we will remain proud of what the club has achieved for reaching the final,” he said.
