MEYERTON.- The Transformative Youth Movement (TYM) led by its President Sam Koena Hoaeane, protested outside the offices of Midvaal local Municipality last week. Hoaeane said that the the protest followed after the Democratic Alliance (DA) Council candidate, Sibusiso Dyonase was given a position of Community Liaison Officer (CLO) recently  while other applicants were not called for an interview, or being short listed. “This means that there was a predetermined outcome. Corruption is rife here. Stands in the area are being sold and the MMC for Human Settlement is aware of this,” Hoaeane said. Hoaeane said after they met with MMC for Development and Planning, Linda Parsonson,  and were assured  by her that our concerns will be given given attention “We going to intensify our protest and efforts if this does not happen.”
