VANDERBIJLPARK.- A 63-year-old man was left critically injured when he was knocked off his scooter on Playfair Boulevard in Vanderbijlpark yesterday.

ER24 reports that  its paramedics arrived at approximately 10:00 to find a light motor vehicle and scooter in the middle of the road. An older man was found lying near his scooter. Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.

The man was treated for his injuries and provided advanced life support interventions before being transported to Medi-Clinic Emfuleni for further care.

The driver of the light motor, fortunately, escaped injury. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
