SEDIBENG. – The National Association of School Governing Bodies (NASGB) in Sedibeng has called for full support from parents to learners doing Grade 12.
This follows reports of poor attendance by learners to SIIP programs facilitated by Sedibeng East 7 and Sedibeng West 8 districts during the week days and over the weekends.
“We call for parents to urgently intervene in order to turn this problematic situation around. This needs parents’ immediate attention to prevent a possible risk of the drop of final results for the Grade 12 examinations .”
“We would like to take this opportunity to wish the grade 12 learners and their educators well for their current preliminary examinations. We consider these exams as critical step towards the ‘final push’ for class of 2021 learners given the disruptions brought by the Covid-19. Please, make sure that your child follows the time table strict attendance for their school based extra classes and the SIIP facilitated by appointed tutors.
“We thank all the SGB committes members of the hosting schools for serving learners with the delicious meals for time spent during the day attending SIIP extra lessons.
“We NASGB are of the firm belief that it remains the responsibility and the duty of every parent to keep regular and close monitoring of your child’s commitment to their education progress.”
