VEREENIGING. – Men and women in blue under the Sedibeng Cluster SAPS boasted their colours during a medal parade that was held at the Sedibeng District Municipality (SDM) today (Tuesday).

The event was attended by about 500 members from 14 police stations in the region.

Members were given recognition for their long service in a form of medals and certificates. This included a hundred year centenary medal.

Police spokesperson Captain Teboho Lephoto says that they had to cut down the number of members from 1000 to 500 in order to adhere to Covid-19 regulations.

“Members were awarded for their uninterrupted service ranging from 10, 20 to 30 years of service.”
