SEBOKENG.- In preparation for the Super League 2021/2022 soccer season Emfuleni Local Association (ELFA) will host a workshop for all the teams at the Community Hall andSaul Tsotetsi Sports Complex in Sebokeng Zone 14 this coming Saturday.
This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by the Super League Administrator, Teboho Mphanga who said some of the issues to be discussed at the workshop include the Laws and Amendment of the Laws of the game.
The COVID-19 regulations governing football and Compliance Officers roles from teams will also form part of discussions. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Mphanga said that they are looking forward to the new season with full of enthusiasm and expect to do better than last season. “We can’t wait to kick start the new season and the good thing is that every season the number of teams are increasing. It is good to see that those teams that were only playing gambling show interest to join the football structure.
To date, three of Super League from three streams, Morning Stars, Vaal Manchester United FC and Sebokeng Mighty Blues FC from Evaton, Sebokeng and Sharpeville Stream have been promoted to the SAB League. This was after they finished at the top of their respective streams and participated at the Regional Play-offs. Mphanga is convinced that this season is going to be more interesting with some teams registering young players. She told Sedibeng Ster Sport that she is encouraged by the fact that some of the teams registered young players.
“I see that some of the teams have registered even players who are 13-years-old for the Super League and this shows how much they take development serious.”
