EVATON.- An Evaton man is behind bars after he was arrested following a fire in Evaton on Monday. It is said that on Monday at about 01:00 the complainant was sleeping at her shack at 1437 Micardo Road, Evaton when she heard a knock on the windows.  She went to open the door and saw her son busy breaking the shack’s windows. Police Spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi said that the complainant asked him what was wrong but he took a broom and a chair and assaulted her with it.

“The complainant ran into the nearest shack to seek assistance. After some few minutes she went to her shack with her sister and saw her son starting the fire. Her sister tried stopping him but he never listened.”

The suspect was immediately arrested and will soon appear in the magistrate court.
