Education and awareness about GBV continues

More than 160 brochures on hijackings safety tips, smash and grab as well as hitchhicking were handed out.

EVATON.- The Evaton Social crime and Communications officers continued from where they left last week with their social drive to educate and warn the public about festive scams, online purchasing, GBV, pick pocketing at malls, assaults and abuse of alcohol, especially during festive seasons recently.

 

The two phased awareness program in a form of a walk was held at the Evaton policing precinct and extended to Bokamoso Centre in Small Farms. The walk started at 08:00 from Evaton Police station with more focus on motorists and community at union road and Hamilton road, where the members interacted with motorists whilst handing out relevant information brochures.
