BOIPATONG.- Covid-19 has been an eye opener to many societies and Idwala Stockvel was established two years ago with the purpose to fight hunger and poverty due to this pandemic.

Ntombizodwa Phambaniso, Secretary, said they started with on a slow pace with eight members and that every month they contribute a certain amount of money with the aim of buying groceries.

“The groceries are shared but also we dont withdraw all the money with the aim of going on strong,” she said.

The Stokvel has had since seen the membership number increase to 20 this year.
