Angry parents spend night outside Nelson Mandela school premises

The Principal denied to having anything to do with the registration of certain ‘special’ individuals.

ZAMDELA.  – The Principal of Nelson Mandela Primary School, Ms T.T Chabela, flatly denied to having a special list of the names of the grade R  children supposed to be registered for 2022 academic year at her school in Zamdela, Sasolburg.

This comes after some of the parents spent the whole night outside the school premises this week. Chabela told Sedibeng Ster that she was surprised when she arrived at the school only to be met by a group of people on Tuesday morning demanding their children be registered at the school. She denied to having anything to do with the registration of certain ‘special’ individuals.

“All the registration processes were done even before the school closed for the festive holidays. “I was shocked to be greeted by group of parents. I sent one of the educators to request and tell those concerned parents to stay away from gate. I knew that I had no appointment with any of them and that everything had been prepared to start with the academic classes from grade R until grade 7,” she said.

Chabela referred this publication to the Fezile Dabi District Department of Education for more information.
