FCS and Angel’s Network plough back

The Sedibeng Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Investigations Unit recently partnered with the Angel’s network to plough back to the community.

ORANGE FARM. – This was done through donating food, clothes and party packs to children housed at the Thato Ke Matla Children’s Home.

The sponsors even made efforts to cook lunch for the children and those working at the center on the day.

Speaking during the handover, FCS Commander Colonel Moeketsi Pitsane expressed his gratitude to the Angel’s Network for the work they do in the community.

“It is a child’s basic right to have a roof over their head and food and through initiatives like this, this can be achieved.”

Petsane stated that the police were very grateful to the home and those working there because whenever officers come across a child in need for shelter at any time of the day or night, the center is always willing to assist.

“Officers have worked with you for a long time and i am told that you never chase them away.” Petsane said he was grateful for this kind of relationship.

Jeff Thwala from the Angel’s network said that he was happy to lend a helping hand and promised that he would bring food to the center regularly.

“We don’t want anyone to go hungry. When you have cooked enough food please make sure that you feed even those that hang around the area looking for something to eat.”
