Police and patrollers take to the streets to fight crime

Police are still conducting investigations that might lead to some of the members of the community being arrested.

BOPHELONG. The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Vanderbijlpark and Bophelong say that they have had enough with mob justice.
The police and the Bophelong patrollers took to the streets on a door to door campaign led by Sergeant Keke Nteso in Bophelong Ext 12 recently.

The campaign comes after 31-year-old Thabo Prinsloo Mokoena was attacked, killed by a mob recently. The deceased was accused of stealing a cellphone and was said to have murdered the owner of the phone in Bophelong Extension 12. Police are still conducting investigations that might lead to some of the members of the community being arrested.
